About the Role (Delivery Service Partner): Join a dedicated local Delivery Service Partner (DSP) as a 'Night Shift' Cargo Delivery Driver. This is a unique and critical role focused on the 'middle mile' and early-morning 'last mile' logistics. We are looking for highly reliable, independent, and safe drivers who thrive working overnight. As a 'Prime Driver' on the night shift, you will be responsible for moving cargo and preparing routes for the next day's 'day shift' operations. This is an 'entry-level' role ('no experience' required), but it demands precision and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. We provide full paid training. Your New Career – The Role: As a 'Night Shift' Driver, your role differs from the standard 'day shift'. Your responsibilities may include: Shuttle Runs: Driving larger cargo vans or box trucks (non-CDL) on 'middle mile' routes, moving pallets of packages from a Sortation Center to a local Delivery Station. Early Morning Routes: Handling the first wave of 'day shift' deliveries, often to businesses or 'Amazon Key' customers, starting your route in the early morning (e.g., 4:00 AM). Station Support: Assisting the overnight warehouse team with organizing and staging routes for the morning drivers. This is a full-time role that operates while the city sleeps. It requires a high degree of responsibility, as you will be working with minimal supervision. You must be available for 'weekend shift' rotations as part of your overnight schedule. The Training – Your Foundation for Success: 'No experience' is necessary. Our paid training is tailored to the 'night shift' operation: Vehicle & Safety: Training on our specific vehicles, with a heavy emphasis on 'night shift' driving safety, vehicle inspections, and security protocols. Technology: Mastering the 'Rabbit' handheld device for navigation and scanning, as well as any 'middle mile' tracking software. Process Training: You'll learn the 'night shift' logistics flow, including how to handle manifests, secure cargo, and manage the hand-off to the 'day shift' team. A Day in the Life – What to Expect: Your 'workday' is a 'night shift' (e.g., 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM): Start of Shift: You'll arrive at the station, huddle with the 'night shift' manager, receive your assignment, and perform your pre-trip inspection. On the Road (Middle Mile): You might spend the first half of your shift driving a box truck to a larger Amazon hub, swapping trailers/vehicles, and returning with the packages for the next day's routes. On the Road (Early Delivery): You might be assigned an early-morning delivery route. You'll load your van and begin deliveries before sunrise, focusing on commercial addresses and time-sensitive 'Prime' deliveries. End of Shift: You'll return to the station as the 'day shift' is arriving. You'll complete your post-trip inspection, check out with your manager, and head home. The Lifestyle – Schedule & Environment: This role is perfect for a 'night owl' who enjoys the quiet of overnight work and the independence it brings. You'll be working in the dark, in all weather conditions. The schedule is typically four 10-hour 'night shift' schedules, with 'weekend shift' availability required. This schedule gives you your days free for family, school, or other pursuits. Why this 'Night Shift' Role?: This is a critical, specialized role within the DSP. Because it's a 'night shift', it often comes with a shift differential (higher pay). You are a key part of the logistics chain that makes 1-day delivery possible. You get all the benefits of a full-time DSP employee—paid training, company vehicle, benefits, and PTO—while working a schedule that many find preferable to the 'day shift' rush.
